Genesee & Wyoming Inc. (G&W) (NYSE:GWR) today reported traffic volumes
for March 2015 and the first quarter of 2015.
G&W’s traffic in March 2015 was 164,261 carloads, a decrease of 3,732
carloads, or 2.2%, compared with March 2014. G&W’s same-railroad traffic
in March 2015 was 155,096 carloads, a decrease of 12,897 carloads, or
7.7%, compared with March 2014. Traffic from G&W’s Freightliner
acquisition, which was completed on March 25, 2015, is not included in
this press release.
