<location value="LU/us.ct.darien" idsrc="xmltag.org" style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">DARIEN, Conn.</location>--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mar. 8, 2016-- <org value="NYSE:GWR" idsrc="xmltag.org" style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Genesee & Wyoming Inc.</org> (G&W) (NYSE:GWR) today reported traffic volumes for <chron style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">February 2016</chron>. G&W’s traffic in <chron style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">February 2016</chron> was 224,656 carloads, an increase of 79,529 carloads, or 54.8%, compared with <chron style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">February 2015</chron>. G&W’s same-railroad traffic in <chron style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">February 2016</chron> was 140,967 carloads, a decrease of 4,160 carloads, or 2.9%, compared with <chron style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">February 2015</chron>. G&W’s traffic in the first quarter of 2016 through February was 443,087 carloads, an increase of 130,611 carloads, or 41.8%, compared with the first quarter of 2015 through February. G&W’s same-railroad traffic in the first quarter of 2016 through February was 280,478 carloads, a decrease of 31,998 carloads, or 10.2%, compared with the first quarter of 2015 through February. |
