<location value="LU/us.ct.darien" idsrc="xmltag.org" style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">DARIEN, Conn.</location>--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 9, 2016-- <org value="NYSE:GWR" idsrc="xmltag.org" style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Genesee & Wyoming Inc.</org> (G&W) (NYSE:GWR) Fourth Quarter Highlights Operating revenues increased 23.9% to <money>$514.9 million</money> from <money>$415.6 million</money>. Same railroad operating revenues, excluding a <money>$16.6 million</money> negative impact of foreign currency depreciation, declined 13.8%, primarily due to weakness in iron ore, coal, metals and agricultural products shipments. Adjusted income from operations (adjusted operating income) decreased 16.9% to <money>$94.2 million</money>; Reported income from operations (operating income) decreased 16.6% to <money>$94.6 million</money>.[SUP](1)[/SUP] Adjusted diluted earnings per common share (EPS) decreased 24.1%, to <money>$0.85</money>, or 20.6%, excluding a <money>$0.05</money> negative impact of foreign currency; Reported diluted EPS decreased 3.9% to <money>$1.47</money>, including a <money>$0.47</money> impact from the Short Line Tax Credit and a <money>$0.17</money> impact from a reduction in <location value="LC/gb;LB/neur;LC/uk" idsrc="xmltag.org">U.K.</location> tax rates.[SUP](1)[/SUP]
