GREENWICH, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 13, 2012-- Genesee & Wyoming Inc. (GWI) (NYSE: GWR) today reported traffic volumes for December 2011 and the fourth quarter of 2011.
GWI’s traffic in December 2011 was 82,009 carloads, an increase of 524 carloads, or 0.6 percent, compared with December 2010. GWI’s traffic in the fourth quarter of 2011 was 246,794 carloads, an increase of 18,077 carloads, or 7.9 percent, compared to the fourth quarter of 2010.
