We decided to use the foogy and snow covered Friday to head north to video the ND&W. First passing by Lafarge and Cecil we saw that 1606 was not being ran on that day.

Just coming into Defiance we heard the Y101 calling on the scanner so I had to run to the gates just in time to make it before they shoved across. Awesome catch! The caboose plus a SD40-3 and a GP15 leader! Plus it worked out so that 3054 came right out to pick up the cut of cars and the GP16 shoved a cut onto the interchange.
We drove to Napoleon next but it was so darn foogy we could not see the tracks from US 24. They were not running in Napoleon anyway. Back to Defiance just in time to catch the 3054 start its run east.
What is the purpose of the cart cart they drug out of the weeds?
It was 5 o'clock and I believe the end of their shift. They tied down in Jewell for the night.
