The first Sounder test train on the Lakewood, WA extention is expected to run today, 7/23/12, after 0700 and make runs until 1900. They plan to continue testing and qualification runs until Friday between Freight House Station and Lakewood checking trackside signal operations and road crossing activations. I can't be there since I'll be running my own Sounder train from Everett to Seattle and back again. Grab a camera and head on down and be the first to catch the first train!

Well, talked to my boss last night and now the first Official run will be 0800 on Monday August 6th. Expect a lot of media coverage on a special train run from Seattle to Lakewood. Stay tuned for that. I'll be in Boston that day and on the East Coast that week so I will miss all of the hoopla.
