Anyone know anything about the film crew in the Columbia River Gorge?
They got some nice footage of these shiny GEVOs at Wishram today.
Are you 100% sure they were filming? We do some projects at work where we use a helicopter and a laser to do survey work. Typically Railroads mount the laster on a hi-railer, but may be they used a helicopter?
May be they were filming a BNSF Commercial? The Berkshire Annual meeting is coming up soon, may be they were making a video for that?
Thanks, Brad.
They had their support equipment set up near the east end of the yard. Earlier in the day, the Disp. told the off-going crew to tie the train down west of the yard, so they could get it up to track speed as they passed by the Wishram depot. The GEVOs were referred to as "photogenic" locomotives.
They had a Pacific Grip & Lighting truck in the group of parked vehicles.

Cool, should be a neat video.
That was some beautiful scenery there!
I just saw that whole 1min Commercial on CBS during the first Commercial Break of the Late Show.
Thats a great commercial. Even if you are not a Train Guy, its still a really well done commercial.
GE also has a commercial for jet engines and it shows them watching a 747 take off.
