Steam Chaser
Last week, Respondek Railroad Corporation's freshly painted SD40-2 was unveiled at the newly renamed "America's Central Port" complex. The former Tri-City Port received an $8.5 million grant for development into an industrial hub. Jerry Costello, an Illinois congressman, helped the project earn the grant and apparently was influential in the paint scheme. These shots are from October 9th, but I couldn't post photos until the ceremony was completed on August 18th. In the photos below, the engine is still missing its lettering under the cab.

Then last weekend, with the bland fall colors at their peak, I ventured out to the Chester Sub to see what shots I could get. It wasn't too bad, and I got a nice CSX-CN lashup in the process. Here are those shots:
