Are those some of Burwash's photos?

I'll take a stab at this.
The first picture show the hillside right up against the tracks in the distance, then pulling back closer to the photograher. I see that land shape at the north end of the bay, right at this Google map link:

The photographer would have been facing south for that photo.
The second picture looks like it was taken at the same location, facing north. The buildings would be in that sort of scallop-shaped section of flat land east of the tracks.

It looks like the modern switch and siding are in the same spot,
Here is a bit I found about the Seattle & Montana. I wonder if there was any equipment painted with the name.
