10:09 AM, June 9, 2012, 4 or 5 private varnish cars just rolled through the Everett, WA tunnel on the Seattle bound Empire Builder. At least two of the cars were clerestoried, the others were streamliners, one Union Pacific car, the last one is an open-platform observation car. Pulled by three locomotives. Longest one I've seen in awhile.

I just saw the train from work. I had a pair of binoculars, but no camera. I'm just hoping someone else does manage to snap a photo. :)

They came through Pasco on #28 last week? Don't remember which day. Seven cars on tour to Canada. Nice way to travel. That wasn't a Union Pacific car, it was a Central Pacific.
