Marty, it runs on steam!
I ran up to Tacoma to get my tickets and packet, which took quite a while. Parking ain't cheap so be prepared for that if you have to go up there. I was disappinted there wasn't the usual NRHS stuff store that normally shows up for these things, but the less money I spend, the better I guess.
I didn't pay to ride the Chehalis, as I live very close by and it didn't make any sense to me. They had a runby where they normally move the power for the return trip, and ran all the way down to Ruth. The runby was the standard "cluster" of self-appointed experts with no authority, ordering people around. I told one of them to go choke himself, which caused the funniest double-take I've ever seen, but that's another story... :D
I kept running into the guys from Marcam Productions as they also knew the neat places that the non-locals would never think to check. I couldn't resist posting this shot of getting "good film" of the approaching # 15. I got a lot of good photos, need to sort through them all.
