Hello, I am collecting information about crossing recorders, if you have experience with them, please share with me answers to these questions.

10 general questions about crossing recorder (CR):

• What voltage is usually used for power CR? (battery – 12V, 24V; 120 VAC)
• How many digital inputs are usually used? (16,24,32,48…)
• What is the voltage range for these inputs? DC or AC inputs?
• How many analog inputs are usually used? (4,8,16…) What are they used for? (battery monitoring, ..?)
• What input is used for grid power ON/OFF check?
• How many external current sensors are required for light out monitoring? (2/4 for one gate/crossing)
• How many relay outputs are usually used? What are they used for?
• What does CR use for communication? (radio, modem…)
• Display and keypad are necessary for local access or usually the laptop (COM or Ethernet port) is used?
• Does CR often have a built-in DTMF radio?
