Clearing of line from lake village to providence

just wondering has the contractor been chosen to start the clearing of this line served by the NLA?

Contractor has been selected and should have started clearing today 2/12/2013. The contract provides that the work will be complete in 45 days. Bridges are next - The engineering work is underway for this. After the bridges the track work will be last part bid out. The engineers are still telling us expect June for train operations.

ATM. We are making 2 or so trips to McGehee per week with 5-7 cars of cottenseed. If you go to Google Earth and look at port of Lake Providence you can 'see' the chemical plant under contruction.

line is cleared and bridge work begins-NLA

hope you might advise when line is cleared completely from lake village to lake providence and bridge work begins. is the bridge work just on the south end also?

The line is cleared. Bridge contractors selected (ATLAS out of PA got it). Tie and track work should be awarded around August. We should be able to get around 62-65 thousand crossties in the 62 miles as those who have seen it can attest that it needs.
