Chicago and Northwestern Paint

This is a question that I posted several days ago but it has had no response, at least not yet. Since then I have looked at a lot of information, including photographs of C&NW F-Units from the late 40’s and early 50’s but haven’t seen anything regarding the issue of my previous post. I find it hard to believe there is no information published about this radical paint job. There are lots of photos but the photo captions only tell about train numbers, loads and locations! If anyone has any information at all about this black over yellow over black paint scheme please post it here. Thank you, Steve

There is one color picture of a two tone F unit in the Withers Diesels of the Chicago and Northwestern and the dark color looks green. But never having seen one in person I don't know. The non F units of that time were yellow and green.
