After droppong my wife off at work yesterday I hung out by Corman's Distribution center until they got their train together. It started out with 4 cars plus 1731/1806. I chose my favorite spot (I have many of those!) at the wye in St Marys and was happy to see that they had the 3 RJCC lettered scrap gons plus a flat car on the Minster Branch. Even though I didn't catch them run to Minster its nice to see what activity has gone on. After they pulled the cut onto the main I drove farther west in St Marys to get a better shot. I took my final shot in Buckland but followed the train all the way to Lima.
In Lima I caught the D743 on its way to Cairo, a lone SD70MAC leading a southbound manifest and a SD40-2/SD50-2 LHF lahup on the Y102 to the CF&E. When the Y102 called the dispatcher the were told the crew to talk to was the LIDE so I knew I could find the CF&E on my way back to Van Wert. They have recently installed some new ties on the former NKP Clover Leaf.
Later we caught a SD70MAC pulling some fresh rebuilds from Joint Systems Manufacturing.
