Can you identify this train?

Hi, I found these old UP picture in a virtual files section of Arquivo Publico Mineiro,a library here in Brazil. I am wondering about the locomotives and the locations shown in the pictures. Can someboy identify them?

[Damon Hill]

Two images are of UP's semi-experimental gas turbine locomotives from the 50s - 60s. They had a reputation for being LOUD.
