Had one of the busiest Friday evenings in a while at what was one of Milwaukee's nicest railfan locations - Waterford Ave or Powerton for those who are older. It is still a great spot but the parking restrictions SUCK. Can't park any closer than about 100 yards from the tracks. Also the stupid posts in the road to make it a no whistle crossing always mess up shots.

In less then 2 hours caught 5 trains. CP 277, CP 281, INRD 800 and 2 Amtrak Hiawatha's. Amazing how the last couple of weeks even the Hiawatha's are running late. That night it was almost 1/2 hour behind just running from Milwaukee to Chicago.

Here some pics from the evening.

Thanks for the nice comments. I agree the INRD 90Macs are some great looking locomotives and they are massive. Sounded good climbing the grade out of Milwaukee. I'm not sure why there was someone in the cab of the second unit on Train CP #281. Possibly a deadhead move back home terminal ?? Didn't notice until I starting working with the photo.
