Last Train to Clarksville
As I drove by Progressive Rail yesterday (March 4th around 3pm), I saw Amtrak California F59PHI #2007 parked in their yard. I didn't have my camera with me so wasn't able to snap a picture. :-(
Heres' a link to a picture of it (though not in Tacoma):

They also have one of the Pacific Harbor Lines units there so far that I've seen.

Today parked amongst Armour Yellow UP units next to the Tacoma Rail main building was Ferromex unit #4844.

Do you some times see Ferromex there? We have 2 at our shop now and we normally NEVER see them.

I see them on occasion out here in Central Kansas
Is it common to see them in the US?

I usually see them on grain trains, both on UP, and BNSF. As for being common, I'd say it's becoming that way, it's always cool to see one.
I only saw one and saw that there was one at our service track in the computer. They were both ES4400's. The one at the shop was in nice shape for being 2006 model especially the cab. The inside of the cab was immaculate too.

It's the first Ferromex I've seen. When I drive by Progressive Rail on Friday I'll see if it was headed there. If not, it was probably just making a stop with the UP units to set out for trains out of the Port of Tacoma.

The ones I've seen looked quite clean, a good friend who works for UP out of Wichita Ks, told me they are quite nice units to run
2007 was placed on the outbound yesterday, 2004 is due in Fri/Sat, There are 2 PHL units on site, and PRLX 3006 that has been repainted to PHL 40.
Edit: BTW, it's Progress Rail, not Progressive, we dont save you on insurance or have commercials with Flo.

FerroMex units on BNSF trains pass by Edmonds on occasion. Check my Mile Post 17 and Mile Post 18 threads in the Western US forum for photos.
You'll see them on the KCS often as well. There was one on the M-SHAR about 2 Sundays ago.
