Saw the BNSF business train at Balmer this afternoon. About 14 cars, had all the usual passes, towns, and rivers. People were busy washing windows and doing repairs. I don't think the power had been so clean since it left Erie. Noticed the Rollins Pass had some wrinkles in the roof, like it might have been in a derailment in previous years. The train was parked in front of the yard office.
I believe it came into town over Stevens Pass empty on the 16th. I have no info on when its suppose to leave Seattle and to where. Perhaps a RR'er can school us...
What is your malfunction?
It will be heading east tomorrow(Sat)

O SEKWHI9 (7216 & 7328) departs Seattle around 0730 and is headed to Whitefish, MT.
Bummer. The light will be all wrong leaving Seattle, but it will be great over Stevens.
Really looked nifty coming through Rock Island about noon time....

Lighting was not good at West Portal, so I shot video instead. Then I stopped at East Winton to get a nice wedge shot.

Nice catch! I'm glad someone caught it!
I wondered what they would do with the #7 meet. How long did Amtrak wait?

Mark,
It was a rolling meet at Bearing. The eastbound morning Z held the main at Goldbar. While I was waiting along the river for my first shot, I heard the DS tell the crew they could have breakfast at Goldbar.
A westbound stack train was at Berne for just over 2 hours waiting. It then met the Z at Scenic.
