Glad this happened after the Tracks in the Snow event, even though it rained.

We had a westbound come through Rock Island about an hour ago, and the Empire Builder is reported out of Seattle a half an hour late. Wonder if they reopened the line.

You make it to Coulee City OK? Saw that SR17 was closed just north of Soap Lake this morning. Up in Chelan, all the ice sculptures for the "Fire and Ice" festival had reverted back to their liquid form.....

The train you saw was the Q-STPTAC-1-14-a. It tied down in Apple Yard.

But yes, trains are starting to run over the pass again. The S-LPCTAC-2-12-k left wenatchee at about 5:30pm, having arrived around midnight last night. There were some (2?) eastbounds that were staged around Baring and Sky, these were also beginning to move as of around 5 or 6 pm. And I think another westbound is leaving spokane right about now.

The train at Sky was a west bound Z train... trains are still moving that direction So I think they have it cleaned up. From what I hear it wasn't bad but they didn't want trains moving over it until it was cleaned up.

Doug,
Things got cleaned up on SR17 pretty quick, and I found out about it after the fact.

Noticed on the news this morning that the line between Everett and Seattle crumped up again due to a couple of mudslides. I understand they've gotten it open again, but Appleyard is crammed with freights.

One over Main 2 at 29.5, just east of Mukilteo and the other at 1784.4, just west of the old depot in Everett. The latter slide sounds like a repeat offender from last Friday morning.
