Some of those coal and sanding towers were certainly made to last. Any indications that it is still in use?
Saw this beauty last night after work; sorry it's not better lit; had to take it with a smart phone and the headlights of the work truck.
Unit is in Brookfield, Missouri.
Unit was built 8/1955 as CB&Q 352
Became BN 6154 and later BNSF 6154
Became LTEX 1727
