Today's UP Lake Yard to Albina Yard transfer included a string of well cars fresh from the Gunderson plant. Here they are on their first mile of mainline rail -- and still no graffiti. But (sigh) the day is still young.
At first glance they looked like super detailed models. They sure look wierd clean.

Last week I saw some cars like that in a baretables train heading north (tt/east) past Mile Post 18 in Edmonds. The new paint jobs really stood out.
Great detail shots and I like the comment posted on Altamont Press. They do look like scale models on a layout, fresh out of the Ready-to-Run boxes.
