Kansas City, as most of America, has been hit with 10 inches of snow (so far) with blizzard conditions coming tonight. The news media is reporting KCI airport closed for two days. They said nothing about the four Amtrak trains serving KC, so I checked their website. Seems the St. Louis train got in 15 minutes early. The Southwest Chief from Chicago is running an hour late. The California Chief got in on time this morning and is expected to arrive on time tomorrow morning. Of course, this may be a pyrrhic victory. The streets are in terrible shape and the poor travelers may have trouble getting to their homes.
