According to the FaceBook page of the Museum of the American
Railroad, the UP 4018 has begun his move to the museum's
new site in Frisco, Texas. The huge locomotive has been moved
from his long-time site just this past weekend, but MAY
NOT be moved all the way to the Museum's new site in Frisco, TX,
until this coming weekend -- June 15-16, 2013. DO keep checking
the Museum's FaceBook page often for updates!
Tje 4018 is now on the Fair Park spur track, and will, according
to the Museum's FB page, be moved up and down the few miles of
that spur track over the next few days -- in order to test
the locomotive.
The FB page says they moved the loco around a 20-degree curve,
and it did OK. For those on FB, here is the link:

Here is your chance to see a Big Boy moving! (Not under his
own steam -- that may happen in 2019.) but this IS happening!
I hope someone can post some pix of this awesome move![/B]
