I am trying to find out which RR companies have yards in the Winston-Salem/Triad area. I have only been in the area for a year now and have a friend up North that is looking to either transfer with his current company or find another company down here so that he can move to this area. Any info is greatly appreciated!!

Norfolk Southern is the dominant carrier in Winston Salem. The WSSB (Winston Salem Southbound) also has the north end of their line in WS. And the Yadkin Valley RR has trackage rights into WS from the north, is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to - An online railroad bookstore featuring a curated selection of new and used railroad books.
