While checking the BNSF yard at Monett, MO I found this unusual trio. I'm not sure why the NS unit was sitting in the yard. BNSF has a tie gang working in the area, and I believe the BN caboose is being used on tie and ballast work trains. While taking photos of this unusual pair I noticed a hopper on the next track that still carries reporting marks for the CB&Q. I thought it was an interesting trio, and that others might enjoy seeing it.
I ♥ you too!

P.S. Kermit, good catches there.

I saw that

First, GN...now CB&Q. What's old is new again. Whose flag will be the next to be raised from the ashes? Hmmmmm......

There are more of those CBQ hoppers in company tie service.
Nice catch. That's a former Conrail Dash 8.
