Hi,
Ex-railroad guys might be interested in my new book, The Mary Celeste Papers - A Railwayman's Tale, which has just be published on Amazon Kindle.
Despite the main part of the title, the book is heavily autobiographical and concentrates on my days as a railway apprentice in England. Back then the railway was state run and suffered badly from Pre-Margaret Thatcher style over-manning.
The book blends the day-to-day procedural affairs of a railway depot with a couple of well known maritime mysteries. It is a mix of comedy, sci-fi, murder/mystery and autobiography.
The book is available for Kindle users as a free download between 27-29 September, after that it's around $3.
More details available on my blog.
PS. This is a great forum. Glad I found it.
PPS. Did you know that you don't have to own a Kindle to read Kindle books? You can just go to Amazon and download a free Kindle reader for your PC. Ever after you can get loads of free or cheap books on just about any subject imagineable, as independent authors must offer free stuff in order to gain an audience. Just thought I would mention that, as I had not previously been aware myself.
