Spent most of the day on June 18th in Rochelle with my Model Railroad club and its annual picnic. Last year the group saw 34 trains between about 10am and 6pm. This year that number was 21. Down quite a bit. Figuring that the flooding in Omaha might have affected. Traffic on the BNSF was really slow. But we saw a coal train on the line. These usually run through Galesburg so that was neat to see. Below are some highlights from the day. Enjoy

Burlington Junction Railway units sit near the canning plant in Rochelle.
First train we saw was an empty windmill blade train returning from the WSOR and Cambria, WI
Eastbound Coal Train with an SD70MAC and a DPU quite rare on the line.
Nothing better, grill full of food and trains.
Warbonnets still roaming the BNSF
UP #2010 honoring 100 years of Boy Scouts. Looking VERY CLEAN and running solo out of Global 3.
