1850's Fort Dodge Line at Boone Iowa Museum

I really like the hand signals but don't make me pick between them and the whistle.
This train is ran by volunteers from all over the state of Iowa.
The new museum should be ready this spring and they will be taking donations of money and Railroad items.

I need to get back and visit as I have cousins in Boone. My father, who recently turned 85, grew up in nearby Pilot Mound.

I have not been back there since the late 70's. I have a few slides from around 1977 of the old Fort Dodge, Des Moines & Southern right of way which ran under the Kate Shelley trestle down to the Des Moines river.

I have a number more videos of the BSVRR. They do a fine job there with the volunteers and I plan to visit the new museum.
