For the BNSF, trash IS cash and it hauls a lot of it. Here is an empty trash train headed westbound through the Columbia River Gorge near Bingen, Washington. This train usually has a mix of 2nd generation power such as these 3 SD40-2's.
An eastbound BNSF train heads across the viaduct on the Fallbridge Subdivision at Vancouver, Washington. This scene will soon change as a major track re-alignment will probably bring an end to this old bridge.

A westbound stack train is meeting the eastbound ?Z-9 at Scenic as the fred of the tail end is passing the headend of the Z.. Thought this would be the artsy fartsy shot of the trip.. Comments or criticism??
Oakway #9031 leading a BN green SD40-2 on it's journey to the ports of Portland, Vancouver or Kalama.. This grain train had a whole rainbow mix of grain hoppers with the mineral red cars starting right behind the power.. It was interesting to see just two units pull this 14,000 ton grain...
BNSF #3002 leads two other 4-axle power through the curve east of the East switch North Dalles to points westward in Washington state. The grain cars right behind the power were probably added to the train in Pasco to move to the Vancouver/Portland area.
