    On Good Friday, a westbound loaded grain train travels along Puget Sound south of Edmonds. As the mid-train DPUs pass the camera, the head end is at MP16. It's hard to see, but on the far right edge of the photo is the U-ROOEVE waiting to go noth.

    It's a fact of life on the CP of today. Most every Intermodal traversing the Swift Current sub has a DPU of some sort. Some trains have their second unit cut in mid-train. CP 8837 is shoving on the rear of an Eastbound near Swift Current.

    CP uses DPU all the time on potash trains (except for 654), however in winter it's used on the Intermodals as well. With CN picking up DPU for manifests, hopefully this practise won't be limited to CP any longer (CN runs 7 IMS's through town vs. 1 on CP). 11:40am CP 103: CP 8768/8...
