    Sorely missed

The classic signal bridge was still guiding trains in 2005. It was removed during BNSF's program to modernize the CTC and to eliminate the need to operate "left-handed" east of Winslow.

    AT&SF Caboose 999456

ATSF Caboose used as part of a gift shop and souvenir store in Jasper County, Missouri, just west of Duenweg, MO. On the other side of the metal-sided building is a passenger car, used as part of the business.

    ATSF 151824

This old Santa Fe boxcar came through Bend on a Northbound manifest today. Amazing to see a car still retaining its ATSF reporting marks in 2010, and in revenue service. Too bad the graffiti covered up the build date.

    The last B Boats

By the 1991 only two railroads were still buying new GE 4-axles: Santa Fe & AMTRAK. Nearly twenty years later they are still the last B Boats. Will GE ever bring them back? Note that both are class units. BNSF 1123-500-6261 (9-44CW/B40-8W/ES44AC wearing H1/H2/H3!) #1123 is last in his series.
