    Questions For Employees.

It sounds like you've been talking to disgruntled employees. NS has a reputation of being strict on rules compliance. Follow the rules and you won't have any problems. If a conductor has an engineer's license then he can run if the engineer allows him to. As far as sleeping on a moving...

    Westbound grainers over Stevens Pass.....

Busy day on the Scenic sub. An EB empty coal had DP problems in the tunnel and things snowballed from there. Lots of dead trains and dogcatches. The loaded grainer made it up and over Stevens without any problems (I was on board.)

Loaded Grain Trains Returning to the Scenic Sub

Still no UP trains on the Stampede Sub! The Stampede sub is going to return to it's post 1996 glory daze for a short time but no the 23 trains a day that was forecast when it first reopened.

Our annual family vacation found us in St. Augustine, FL. I took a morning to do some railfanning of the Florida East Coast. I found train 226 crossing the San Sebastion River. Nice morning light and a lack of wind produced a nice reflection. Seeing an ex UP SD40-2 UP front was a treat for me...
