The Lethbridge crew finally gets 674 rolling after changing off with Cranbrook. The Cranbrook engineer set the air way to early and had to drag the train in almost full throttle at about 2MPH for a couple hundred feet to avoid stalling.
It's a RAW image processed by Photoshop Elements. It was originally exposed for the train, but I reduced the exposure and bumped up the 'recovery' so the sky is somewhat properly exposed. After that I used a bit of fill light combined with enhanced contrast.

What is likely a 269 begins its 107 mile trip to Cranbrook on a cloudy March first. After being talked through Sparwood, they will receive another Clearance; a straight shot to Fenwick, 83 miles ahead.
I was hoping for the sun to stay out for a while longer, but the meet between this train and 269 wasn't good as this train was held up for 20 minutes or more.
Yes they're used between Hinkle, Oregon and Lethbridge Alberta. They do go farther than Lethbridge but they are not permitted to lead past Lethbridge. The crews hate em.
