Going from Nova Scotia back to the Prairies I took the route north of Lake Superior, which is longer then the Duluth shortcut, but allows for sights like this one reminiscent of decades past. A VIA RDC-4 is arriving at the station on a tri-weekly milk-run they way its been done for the last 55 years. If it wasnt for modern safety stripes giving away the era, this photo might as well have been taken 30 years ago. No AMTRAK P42s with Superliners or cell-phone coverage out here.
