The Turntable

This is the Turntable at Vic West. The E&N's last functional turntable. It is still used to turn the RDC's. The RDC's are turned every month or so to even out wear on the wheels. The turntable still sports it's steam powered engine(now powered by compressed air). When the turntable was first installed in 1913 it was a "strong-arm turntable" the crew would set the locomotive on the turntable, and turn it by hand, the shop crews hated this and a few years later a steam engine was attatched to one end.
