Southern Pacific On The Cutoff

In classic SP style, SD40T-2 #8306 leads a westbound freight drag up the Palmdale Colton Cutoff between Dike and Canyon in Cajon Pass in 1984.
Thanks so much. You know SP typically ran long drags that you swear could stall at any time. From the photographer's standpoint, that let you get in position for multiple location shots of the westbounds climbing Cajon.
