SOUTH CITY SWITCHERS: NEW CAMERA!

These are pics of some... I believe... Gp-38-2's. They are located at the Union Pacific yard in South San Francisco and are used as switchers for a lot of tank car and hopper traffic. But mainly I wanted to try out my new camera... and I wanted the first pics to be train pics. So... I ran down to the yard, which is only 5 minutes away from my house and snapped off a few. These were taken with a Nikon D80 and a 18-135 mm zoom. I thank my wife who gave this to me for our anniversary!

Glad to see you caught this pair. I remember seeing them in the yard last year but never got around to photographing them. Two DRGWs together is truly a rarity.
