GTW 6401 (ex DT&I 401) idles on the west leg of the wye. The Port Huron yard is all bottled up with five trains waiting to get out. Many crew were sitting in the cabs waiting for the switches to get deiced by the track crews. This was the first real dumping of snow in the Port Huron area... 10 to 12 inches fell.

GT 6401 is the sole surviving GP-40 locomotive from the DT&I Railroad. It is also the only GP-40 still in service in the loco fleet.
Not to nitpick, but there are 2 others..the 6425, and 6428..both on the IC.

The 6425 )exdt&I) is a GP-40-2 and the 6428.... I have never seen that one on the roster.

Oh,,sorry...alway's get them mixed up....seem's the 6401 is the last GP40(non dash 2) on a Class one RR as well, could be wrong......Railnut

My records show that GTW 6420 (ex-DT&I 420) and 6425 are the only ex DT&I GP40-2's left on the GTW/CN.
