New EARY Motors
Here is a shot of a couple of new motors on the EARY (Eastern Alabama Railway) in Sylacauga, AL.

On the point is the new to them North Carolina & Virginia Railroad 1326, a GP7u buillt as the ATSF 2793 in 1952. Next in line is the Alabama & Gulf Coast 4005, a GP40 built as the MKT 200 in 1968. Next is the New England Central 4048. Finally, you see the Carolina Piedmont GP38-2, built as the Southern 2793 GP-38 in 1970. This is on the old southern-most leg of the L&N Mineral Belt Line that went from Gadsden, AL down through Annistion, Talladega, Sylacauga and then swung West over to Calera where it met up with the S&NA Line. Now, this line only runs between Gantts Jct. just West of downtown Sylacauga up to Bemiston just outside (South) of Talladega. Interchange partners are NS in Sylacauga and CSX in Talladega.
