This is pretty common in elevators all over the mid-west. Those locations that have gone to trackmobiles are usually the ones that load larger trains on a regular basis.

When I was doing signal maintainer work we would cuss out the guys that drove the tractors over the bonds. It would break the soldered wire connecting the rails for the grade protection causing the signals to come on.
