Indiana Southern Railroad

ISRR Southbound Freight Train rumbles through Lyons, Indiana

Seems like a weird BLE/CP paint combo.

This was my 1st time visiting the Indiana Southern Railroad & I really like their paint scheme, as well as the Indiana Railroad paint scheme. We were railfanning the Switz City, Indiana area for Indiana Railroad in particular & they ran 2 westbound freights in the morning, but the 1st train only had 2 ugly black HLCX GP38-2'S for power & the 2nd train had 1 of the ugly black HLCX GP38-2'S leading a Indiana Railroad GP38AC & an industrial switcher. The light was bad for the direction they were running & we would've had to drive a long way to let the sun angle get good enough to film the trains in good light, so we chose to chase the Indiana Southern Railroad since they run north/ south & is easier to film the trains with good lighting conditions. I'm going back for the Indiana Railroad very soon. We wanted the Indiana Railroad power on the trains we saw, but only got leasers & the train they ran east out of Switz City, Indiana had 2 of their SD40-2'S in the Indiana Railroad paint scheme & 1 of the ugly black HLCX GP38-2'S, but the light was bad for eastbounds at the time they ran the train, so we chased the Indiana Southern Railroad back toward Petersburg, Indiana. I will be back soon for the Indiana Railroad
