I've been all around Chicago, and shot GTW at various locations, But I've never been to Thornton Jct. I hear too many rumors and stories about the junction. How was the area for you?, Curious, Because I want to go one of these days. Great shot by the way, I miss seeing GTW trains in Chi-town!!! Glen
 
I haven't been there since 1986 but I was there for about 4 or 5 hours and didn't have any problems with anyone. The GTW put on quite a show that day. The former C&EI wasn't too busy though.
 
Go GTW Blue! Nice shot. GTW Blue is becoming rare these days.

And as an added note..the 5800 is gone from the roster...good ol' GP38AC's!
