GCR 2097 Kokopelli Dome

Grand Canyon Railway (GCR) 2097 Kokopelli Dome leaving the Grand Canyon station, 27 Aug 2007. Built for the Empire Builder, it was originally put into service for the GNRy, May 29, 1955 with the number 1326. It was later used by AMTRAK and the Alaska Railroad. It was rebuilt by the Great Northern Dome Company in 1998 and leased by the Grand Canyon Railway in 2000. No. 1326 was repainted and named the Kokopelli. Source: www.thetrain.com/learnmore/fleet/
