#1501 worked for Alberta Sugar out of Picture Butte from 1956 to 1979, when the plant closed. He was then transferred to Taber, lasting there until 1997, relieved by Manitoba Sugar GE 45T when the respective Winnipeg plant closed. The unit was then sold to Canadian Railserve LTD, likely working some other industry in Alberta - a cement plant judging by the paint. Now retired, he is stored on museum grounds, awaiting a new owner/assignment or the torch.

Note Canadian Railserve LTD on the frame, remains of a snowplow? below the coupler and definitely a modified stack.
