Alco C-636 Born as SP&S 330 in December 1967. It was renumbered in the BN merger as 4360. Purchased in the declining years of Alco production the 3600 HP unit was not a popular item with BN's mechanical department & was retired in Nov. 1980. Railfans loved them & it was a sad day when they left the roster.
Good photo. I got to see BN ALCo's, including the Century 636, when I lived in Sacramento back on the 70's. The units occasionally appeared on BN-WP-Santa Fe run through freights.

The front of the latest EMD model reminds me very much of the Century series AlCos.
