As a kid I lived in Sikeston, MO from 1958-63.  A seconday Frisco mainline ran north-south through town, probably between St. Louis and Memphis. There was a daily local powered by a pair of ALCO RS-? road swithchers, but the train I wanted to see was a long freight pulled by F units which came through town periodically.  I thought the black & yellow paint scheme on those F units was really great.
