I was driving past Cascan today, and saw this unit sitting on a Northbound that was tied down on the main. The 1050 was delivered with a standard H1 paint job, but somewhere along its life has picked up the H2 lettering on the side of the hood. As far as I know, this is the only C44-9W that BNSF has this way.

It does. A quick check at locophotos.com also revealed a red and silver a/c unit on it as well. http://www.locophotos.com/PhotoDetails.php?PhotoID=68932 With the headlights lit on the lead locomotive, even with the train tied down, I didn't feel like crossing the tracks to look in person.

Wish this had come north today as I was in The Dalles, Ore this morning and afternoon.. It would have been pretty cool to see.

It was different to see, thats for sure. This train probably left soon after I was there due to the fact I heard another Northbound train coming into town around 2:30. I guess that would put the train into the Gorge tonight sometime. Thanks for the comment and rating.

Thanks Austin. Like I said, I think this is a one-off paint job. I tried to call Rob, but he didn't answer his phone.
