Central of Georgia Tower At Macon, A Second Look!

From a different angle, This grand old Central of Georgia Railway coaling tower stills stands proudly overlooking downtown Macon, Ga. This is one of the last remnants of the former CofGa yard located here. It's a miracle this structure is actually still standing today!
It appears that it had some use in the post steam era. The steel (rusty) portion and the long chute appear to be additions. Amazing that most of the windows are still intact!
 
Man!!! Would I ever love to!! But I wouldn't dare. It'd be my luck to fall inside and never to be heard from again, or get busted and hauled off to jail for trespassing.
