CP 336

Crappy, grainy pic of 336 coming through the cut at mile 74.8, protecting against 674 3 miles ahead at Cowley. -23 and -35ish with windchill. Not very smart.. I went home after I got this pic.

I was out taking shot of CN frieght and a meet at -25C and I went home.

Thanks for the rating. Looks like there will be some overflow traffic in a couple of days. CP dumped one just west of Kipp because of a broken rail and that will probably take a day or so to fix. Hopefully it warms up by then and maybe I'll have time to get a few.

I'll give you an A+ for effort for even risking your Camera and your life for just one Train. That is the reason why I myself stay home when the conditions get this bad. Train Photography is just not worth the risk. BTW. This Photo doesn't look grainy to me. As far as I can see it does look very good to my eyes. Nice job!

I like the picture. It gives a nice view of the train from a position (coming through the bridge which is not real common. I also, like pictures you can see more of the train than just the locomotives.

Tough conditions, although I think the other comment about you risking your life is shall we say a little over the top! When I was a teenager I had a job pumping gas in conditions as cold or colder. It is possible to survive them. :)

I had the Mega Cab down by the crossing on full heat anyways and I was only out here for 5 minutes so my life wasn't threatened.

The pic also seems "blotchy" or noisy to me, particularily on the front of the loco. I'm not sure if its just due to low lighting or what. Oh well.

Thanks for the comments.
